Do not abuse your dopamine system(TikTok, Instagram, sugar, etc), and do sport 2-3 times per week. This way you won't feel depressed and that is how you will be motivated. |

| orient | 10-23-2023 02:42 PM | Re: How to Stay Motivated If you are in a country that eBay sellers are not millions of people such as U.S. or U.K., you should have already around 50 sellers who been older than you on eBay from your country or from the countries closeby and make a check of their listings regularly and among thousands of listings pick only the ones that you believe in you that you can buy cheaper in wholesale than the original seller even and go ahead.
My motivation is buying that product cheapest in the market neverthless it is from a city that far 1000km to me and turning it into a cash worth all those efforts and make your motivation even more. |

Reviving this thread but wanted to chip in after reading what everyone else has shared.
For me, the motivation is taking care of my family and paying off debts, bills, credit cards, etc. I've seen how stressed it makes my dad. He's sacrificed so much, the least I can do is give him a clean slate and a brand new Toyota Tacoma.
I used to be motivated solely by my dream car (1st gen audi r8) and a nice penthouse condo. Pictures on the wall printed out, manifestation journaling, iPhone lockscreen, even photoshopping the car into my house's driveway to help visualize. Also bought an OEM r8 keyfob on ebay just to get used to pushing the buttons and getting used to how it looks on my key fob.
Oddly enough, all of this stuff actually was short-lived motivation and lead to a plateau, burnout, existential crisis, feeling of lack of purpose, etc. Ended up detaching from the car and condo completely and started focusing all my efforts and time on my product sourcing and systems. Binned my entire supply chain and business strategy.
Fast-forward now, I am more focused and driven on a much deeper level. I'm not chasing money anymore, I'm providing financial freedom for my family and I.
I think I'm on the right path as a 25 year-old knowing I am more satisfied and fulfilled with myself after sitting my dad down at the dinner table and zero-ing out his long overdue credit card balances, bills, etc vs the satisfaction and fulfilment of buying my dream car. I think maturing was realizing it was never about the cars, watches, or luxury... but rather putting my family on my back and doing the impossible |

It is a lot easier to stay motivated when you're 25 though.. that's for sure. |

| phaz0rz | 08-16-2026 02:18 PM | Re: How to Stay Motivated It sounds like a load of AI drivel to me. There aren't any 25 year old Americans who've been able to "bin their entire supply chain" (UK term) and shift their focus to paying their parents bills. |

It is a lot easier to stay motivated when you're 25 though.. that's for sure. | Oh jeez. Hope I didn't actually come off as course seller... not the impression I want to make on here. As a matter of fact, it's actually incredibly refreshing how this forum is mostly based on one book. I don't really have to have my guard up here to sales funnels, scams, etc.
I'm just a big car guy and Iron Man/Batman fan. Always wanted the Tony Stark-spec R8 and malibu crib, but also a Bruce Wayne penthouse like in Dark Knight Rises.
As for motivation and age, do you have any general life tips or advice for me? (I'm assuming your older than me with more life experience) |
| phaz0rz | 08-16-2026 03:05 PM | Re: How to Stay Motivated hah, you won me back over. I stuck around here to stay up to date with things but the only version of "the book" I ever read was torrented. |
| phaz0rz | 08-16-2026 03:09 PM | Re: How to Stay Motivated I ended up here because a guy I was buying things from on my original eBay account told me I'd have to use an ein to scale past one account. Then I found out I could buy accounts with high limits and make them "legit" with eins, and it's been a thing for me since then.
I only have 7 years on you. I really don't have any answers for staying motivated. The thing with e-commerce is that it automates so much of the things that would normally keep you active, moving around in life. |
