Default Behind an annoying firewall

So 2016 started in my office great and the firewall setting of the place where I work got tighter.

I cannot acces private mail anymore. I use GMail but all webmail interfaces have been blocked/banned (Hotmail, Yahoo! ...all of them).

I am not the administrator of the machine so I cannot install anything tricky.

Is there a workaround? Can I access to GMail via VPN/VPS from a web interface?

Any other solution?

Can you access any sort of email?

If so, you could have all your emails into gmail forwarded

I am testing other services, no luck up to now but I'd also like to be able to remotely answer from the same email address as GMail can do...

I know there are some email clients about that you could intergrate your gmail into without needing to install software. Worth having a google to see if any of them work for you

I just want to post in here my conclusions on the issue I had just for the benefit of other members who might be in similar situation.

JamesNorth101 suggestion is valuable and I did find a workaround using another webmail where I could route my emails but... I decided not to go that route.

One thing I have learned in here is "to have full control" of the business I am running even if it is very small business...
So, if I cannot get advantage of my office connection and I have to find other complicated solutions I rather prefer get rid of it.

Got myself a laptop that was dismissed and bought a USB internet dongle with enough Gb traffic I can handle all my accounts.

I am ready to go

P.S.: thanks anyway JamesNorth101.

In my work gmail.com was blocked but mail.google.com wasn't. Both are the same thing.

Use a web based proxy. This will fix your problem.
