| | | yaBeh8ater | 04-05-2016 03:28 PM | Do you care that the world seems to be coming to its climax? I'm not the religious type, actually agnostic, but I have skimmed the bible from time to time and everything that happens it feels like the bible has already said it would happen.
growing unrest in the mid east, out of control gun ethics in the states, so much hate and racism, the nwo.. etc.. |

It's just your imagination. This has been happening since the beginning of mankind. We are born and we die so do not worry about that. |
| aspkin | 04-05-2016 03:57 PM | Re: Do you care that the world seems to be coming to its climax? Perspective is everything. I suggest getting outside the United States for a little while to see how the world really is without 24/7 fear and heighten security we have been in since 9/11. The world is more peaceful and prosperous now, then any other time in history.

growing unrest in the mid east, out of control gun ethics in the states, so much hate and racism, the nwo.. etc.. | It may seem that way, but don't forget how much easier it is to access information now. We see a lot more thanks to TV and the internet that we would have otherwise been oblivious too. The world is always in chaos, and sadly that is how it works.
We're improving in ways, it's just a shame our progress could all be undone at any moment by the fall of a meteorite, the evolution of a disease, or the push of a button. *Yay*
The world is always in balance, we as a species are just tipping that balance in favour of self destruction. It's a cycle that mankind may or may not live through. Just try and enjoy life and be a good person, appreciate what you've got and take care of yourself.
Oh and try not to judge people too much, everyone is living through their own personal madness. :) |
| dan_ebay | 04-05-2016 05:29 PM | Re: Do you care that the world seems to be coming to its climax? Agree with the others its just because its all on the news now, people were killing eachother on the street on the daily a few 100 years ago a lot more than that.
Having said that though its mental guns were only invented 200 or so years ago and now we have weapons that can destroy whole countries, in 500 years they'll probably be loads of psychos who could easily blow the planet up

i really like your last sentence. its probably the clearest most dignified words anyone on aspkin has written. its very true. treat others the way you want to be treated and "try" not to judge others. i know its difficult because i have judged others even when i am not trying to. its too easy to judge. |
Re: Do you care that the world seems to be coming to its climax? Someone build SkyNet already and let's end this world as we know it :thumb: |

On another robot uprising related note, I recommend the Animatrix (related to the Matrix trilogy) for anyone who hasn't seen it. Fantastic art and animation and an interesting view on the potential future of AI and machines. |
| RosieTosie | 04-06-2016 05:23 AM | Re: Do you care that the world seems to be coming to its climax? Agree with everyone else here. The answer is to not get to wound up on the craziness out there, even though it seems to get worse every so often, the way the media has developed means we all get to read or hear about things almost instantly and vividly if we are seeing on the television or laptops. The world will keep on turning just as it always has done. There have been monumental changes over the decades and that has resulted in everyone being much more up to date with world issues.
In the decades and centuries to come things will keep on changing, long after we are gone. That's life. |
Re: Do you care that the world seems to be coming to its climax? Animatrix hmm - thanks for the tip zenohki |
| donkeykong2012 | 04-06-2016 07:03 AM | Re: Do you care that the world seems to be coming to its climax? Learn to love yourself and the others around you equally.
There is no such thing as a perfect life.
Other than to do what you can to make your life perfect for you.
We as a human race are flawed like no other.
We pretend we are more sophisticated than animals.
Yet in animals such as Pets I see common sense behavior that make me realize just how ridiculous we really are.

Anybody who thinks that world is about to collapse or something like that needs to travel to Europe for a bit. Nobody here is worried, everything is super chill. |

Re: Do you care that the world seems to be coming to its climax? I downloaded it, but havent watched it yet. The whole film is the conversation they had in the restaurant I never really realised what a slave like existence i used to live until i left "The Matrix" if someone called me a slave 10 yrs ago i would have thought they were crazy.
Money is freedom, but a lot of people don't realise you don't need a lot of money to live a life with more freedom. Conversely, there are people with a lot of money who are not able to achieve much freedom in their life. |
| RosieTosie | 04-06-2016 09:19 AM | Re: Do you care that the world seems to be coming to its climax? Well said sax4, money talks but it also takes all sense of rhyme and reason from some people. |
| aking | 04-06-2016 09:38 AM | Re: Do you care that the world seems to be coming to its climax? Yea, I agree with the earlier post that the world has always been crazy, it's just we had no medium to see it. But with technology added at this day in age, we now see first hand whats going on everywhere on a daily basis thru social media, news, internet, etc. Everybody has a phone with a camera and we record and post everything daily. |
| Nookin | 04-06-2016 01:28 PM | Re: Do you care that the world seems to be coming to its climax? It's all in our heads, the world is filled with all sorts of things known and unknown. It is wise to align with yourself only to those things that will bring your own fulfillment everything else is manageable. I care only about my well being and my loved ones. |
