Question Getting multiple packages with different names at your address? Stares from postman?

My post office person gives me stares sometimes when dropping off packages at my house with different names. Is that an issue?

No. You can just tell him your brother/uncle/friend came to visit. I don't see any issues with it.

It's none of their business what name the packages come in. and like unknown5454 said...your paranoid, relax. How does he know those people don't live there?

I'd be reminding the post person that their job is to deliver mail, not judge you.

Then I'd find out his/her name then have some packages delivered with their name on just to mess with their heads

On the real, your local postmaster could tip off postal inspectors if they suspect strongly enough that you're somehow committing fraud. Have you considered handling your postage externally? I use stamps.com so that all of my orders from all accounts go out with the correct name and return address.

I had like 100+ packages i was sending out not move i went in asked she said leave a number and would call me after figured out what was going on ..
Next day i get a call this is federal postal inspector something . I would like to discuss your shipping . We have 100's of packages sent out weekly all with different names other than your own. I replied i was dropshipping for others . They sell the items i ship out on their behalf . He replied that there were forms i must fill out to be a legit dropshipper and that i can either put my real return address on the packages , request to become a registered dropshipper or just not ship anything else thru usps .. He said he would go ahead and release the packages he was holding and he was just doing this to be safe as people would ship drugs and put improper return addresses not that i was doing that he assured me . He also said i can even ship without a return but may lose any returned mail.. So now i just put a return address label over the stealth name and all is well I use the white labels so its not really noticeable .. Just my experience and same as you it all started with a new lady at the post office that gave that funny look when she noticed different names . this was outgoing mail not incoming as yours was BUTT....

^^I told you! :D

OP's issue was with outgoing mail as well. SOOO much easier to just pay stamps.com $16 per month and print all postage there.

I'm just surprised there's some a-hole willing to sit there and check names and addresses on packages...they need to do some actual work and get those packages out!

I can't blame USPS for being suspicious in that sort of situation. I remember watching drugs inc. a few years ago and some extacy dealer was saying USPS is by far the most efficient drug courier they've ever used.

Had this happen once, i switched post offices when it happened, since then nobody has complained.I posted about it here awhile back. The lady said similar. except they didn't hold the packages, just said inspectors want to know why the address is not valid.Questioned what i was sippping etc... All because of people who send drugs in the mail. do this. All they had to do is open one package, and they'd see it wasn't drugs. But alas, . Which was my fault because i would use invalid addresses eg.. 8373 horrible st. obviously not that incorrectly random, but they still knew. My new local post office even has it set to pick up my mail daily.Which i actually am trying to get away from, because i don't like that they know i am shipping lots of stuff. Could cause a break in etc.. So now, i just use po box's and UPS store addresses and forget the unit # for the ups box, so that they just figure oh this customer forgot. And i assure postage is correct. Otherwise only returns are idiots who give me the wrong address.. and actual returns are done through ebay to the po box

I still use auctiva. It's not that bad, i have macro's setup to put little notes as what the package is, so it's easier to pick during packing.I've debated shipstation, but not sure how automated it really is.

I don't use it, but it's really quite automated. You can have all your different stealth accounts set up as "warehouses" in shipstation, and that allows you to automatically import orders from all accounts without any risk of linking.
