Oh no, I didn't mean link to facebook chat. I just meant something similar to that. I definitely like keeping seperation on this forum, especially considering all of us are working amazon/ebay/paypal and linking to any real info could be problematic

Yes it is.
There's CHATBOX already in existence.
'Private chats' can be done via other platforms.
For buyer/seller communication you should at the very least be covering yourself for any misunderstanding in deals. That would not work with a chat box. Messages only exist for a certain time. Uber hard to retrieve them from the database.
