My step dad past away last week from cancer and I inherited $780,000 usd of his life savings and the house and cars.What kinda good low risk business should I start up with good gain potential? Please don't say casinos betting on black or red. How could I double or triple this amount quickly? What would you do?

Put it in a broad market index fund, compounded yearly at 8% you'll have $1,146,075.90 in the account in 5 years without having to put anything else in the account.

I have this special charity called Jarsky in need......you should donate to that charity I heard he does wonders in that charity.

hes known to build lots and lots of fast food restaurants in ghetto neighborhoods to give access to poor people for food.

bring all the ghetto kids to eat tons of beans from chipotle then.....

get a special bus and brings all the poor kids from the ghetto neighborhood to the mall to fart on santas lap when asking for wishes during christmas time.

then afterwards we all go to the nearest candy store to rot their teeth with sour candy and no teeth brushing......

am a very charitable man........thou shalt sacrifice bankruptcy for the good of mankind.

I will even let homeless people sleep inside and pitch tents during business hours. make sure the smells crowd the entire restaurant.

I would speak to a financial consultant. The Subway franchise is not a bad idea. Subway is the largest fast food chain

Do you REALLY want to work at a subway though? Sure you can be the owner and hire others to follow the subway manual but you still have to be involved. I would check out how profitable these places are before going forward with it. Personally I'd much rather my money grow by itself than work. You could be a hard money lender. I make 10-15% return depending on the loan, plus points. With hard money lending you seriously just receive direct deposits in your bank account without any extra work. I'm starting to do that more these days.

Spread out the money with investments and profitable business if you like but business does takes work rather than having residual income...

This is 100% true.

If you buy a business, expect to put in the work. You are essentially buying a JOB. Don't think just because you are owner (the boss) you can just tell people what to do and the business will more or less run itself. You will need to be involved, and have incentive to keep it going and viable. If not, this venture is likely not for you.

If you want the easy route, then consider sensible investments instead.

If you look into the details of Chick-fil-A franchising, I don't understand why anyone would want to open one, honestly. The "owner" ends up making less than $100k/yr, they never really own their franchise, and they aren't allowed to open more than 1 because the owner has to be fully involved with day-to-day operations.

Terrible franchise to open TBH.

With Subway it's relatively easy and they're the cheapest fast food franchise to start up by far. Subway wants you to own a dozen stores and they don't care if you're involved with your stores as long as you can find competent management to run them for you.

Never heard of Chick-fil-A before! Not sure they have made it to the UK yet

McDonalds franchise is where some real money is if you have the start up capital (at least over here in the UK) and a desirable location.

THey are in USA, owned by a christian family and they close every sunday.
