Chick-fil-A is structured like a pyramid scheme. Most money is funnelled to the top and the franchise "operator" (not owner) makes a meager salary compared to other franchise owners. Chick-fil-A will help you finance the initial investment so they don't require as much initial capital, but that's because you're never going to own your restaurant or have any freedom to make decisions. Sure there's rules like that with most franchises but it's much worse with them.

Last I checked, at least.

And yeah, they're popular mainly in the "bible belt" in the southeast USA due to the die-hard Christian beliefs of the founders.

8% ? I have about a third in index funds, and I am not getting anywhere near 8% , the only thing that could make that was tracking the US $ this year, if going long. All else down equities and commodities....shorting can make that, but resting your money tracked, you've done well if you got that as a retail customer!

I hear there's a ton of stuff to do in Bangkok as well as a bunch of opportunities to make money in the US by creating a a solid private label. Well Thailand is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world, so you do get guys in Bangkok for "normal" reasons, although there is a lot of whoremongers for sure.

Massages are great there, you can get rubbed and tugged for the price of a couple of beers back home :)

I know you can get can get 5% on the money easily, without too much trouble/
so the question is, what is the rest of your income, add them together and decide how much you want to save (if any), blow and also need to live on.

Update on the money guys. Still got a little over $700k left, spent a big chuck of it for christmas gifts for me, and couple friends. Might take a trip somwhere soon in New orleans for a little getaway. Im still goin flip the rest of this cash, might try the Broad market index fund. Let it invest there for 5 years, put 450k in it, and let it grow. And put $30k into a two cellphone business shops in the u.s.

I dont know the States but in Turkey house prices went incredibly high before it went down in 2018 due to the Turkish economy. Now the construction companies is in trouble in terms of Cash so huge discounts available. Turkish lira weakened against most foreign currencies especially US dollar. Everybody expects 2019 will be a bad year before the economy will rise again. So my point if I had that Cash I would split my investments first. Would put some of it in bank as a guarantiee income and rest would invest. You could buy property and rent it. Easy investment but you should know the area you buy your property. You will have your income from renting and the value of your proper will increase over time. I witnessed average house prices doubled in 2-3 years.

I would recommend a passive investment for you. I mean the kind of investments you have income every month but not involved.
Still you live your life with the monthly income and still has your stake.

Download the whole series of Shark Tank and watch every single episode.

That will probably give you some good ideas.

Well not just that, a lot, if not all ideas are patented. So you really cant do anything with their idea.

Most pitches that go on these programmes are basically solutions to problems. So you just need to find a problem, come up with a solution, and see if it sells.
