Re: Creating an LLC with a virtual business address?
I have an anonymous LLC registered in Delaware. Only people who know it belongs to me are the lawyers who set it up, the IRS, my bank, and the company that I pay for a virtual office in Delaware. The virtual office is an actual brick and mortar building but it’s tenants are all virtual. All of my mail goes there and then they forward it to a UPS Store box. I also have a virtual business phone line registered to my business at the address in Delaware that is forwarded to one of my cell phones.
It works out quite well. There is no way for anyone who wants to go snooping around to be able to actually find out who the owner is. Delaware is one of the few states left that allow anonymous LLC’s. I set it all up online and was registered with the state, had my EIN and a business checking account a day after I set it all up. And it did cost that much either. I can set up as many DNA’s as I want and they’re anonymous too. I value my privacy and this has worked out well.
The lone exception is with PayPal. When setting up a Business account they ask for the SSN of the primary POC which is still an issue for me. I haven’t quite figured out a work around to that problem yet. I supposed all I would really have to do is recruit someone to become a “member” of record for my company with the Delaware Secretary of State so I could have them open another Business checking account. I’d have my name on it too if course but I could use the other person’s debit card for verification and use their SSN to set up the PayPal account but I haven’t decided how I am going to go about finding someone to do this for me.
