Default facebook ads, effective?

Let's say you want to sell something more on the popular side of things, and you use facebook ads to direct to your website. Did it all work for you? How much did you spend on facebook ads?

Theres a lot of sellers scaling to 6 figures with Facebook ads but you have to know what you're doing and how to interpret the data.

I think the trick for you is to find someone who is an expert AND you can trust them.

FB ads are powerful yes, but they aren't cheap.
A combination of FB and other social media platforms would be more effective.

But then again the person you hire to do this could also cost you4 figures.

To begin you create ad sets. Ad sets are mini ad campaigns - each with it's own unique targeting

Depending on the product you set each ad set to target an audience with a specific interest, age, location, ad delivery method (image, video, carousel etc)

You start off with a small budget in order to gain data and see which ad sets performs the best. Once you have the data you optimize the adset according to the attributes that performed the best and get rid of the non performing ad sets.

For example if males between ages 20-30 are the only ones watching the ad you tweak the adset to target them only.

Then if you want you take all your winning ad sets and put it in a CBO which is basically AI the splits your budget between the adsets and allocates more money to the better performing ad set

I sold a few items to an Indian audience but didn't like the idea of spending money on ads with no guarantee of profit while market place sites exist with nearly 0 risk

With all the managed payments madness, it might be smart to diverse some of your resources to your own website, that way no one can shut you down, well theoretically of course

Yes learn as many skills as possible. I relied on one income stream then when covid came around I lost it.

Get on multiple platforms and Stealth every single one of them with multiple accounts. Dont trust a single one of these companies.

Mostly depends on your item. For what I used it for back in the days it was steady, think budget was around 100$-150$ a day. Can always have a FB group with a bunch of likes/follows to make people more impressed about the product you are selling.
