You will need more than a one time code, they can ask you for phone verification at any time and you're then screwed. Changing numbers on accounts can cause issues: delayed payouts and such like.

I couldn't access anymore with my old number then eBay agreed to change it for me and I have to provide it to them, but they require Same country as eBay registration , I wanted to use it just for 1 2 codes to be able to access then rechange it again with my own number

Best for your account is you get a long term phone number from whatever app offers the best price.
Cause you will need that phone number more than once to receive OTPs if you're planning on using the eBay account.

It seems there are not option online for rent numbers online for some countries , most website that have this service require residence proof and company, it's more easy buy a physical SIM already activated and get it sent
