I just went to their site, and I noticed a few things.
First, ebid.com is a parked domain, you have to go to ebid.net - not a good thing!
Second, out of the 10 auctions featured on their front page, six of them are for merchandise with the ebid logo....
I clicked on Movies & DVD's, and prominently featured on the next page were Laserdiscs, VHS Tapes, Reels (35mm film) and Other. NO DVD's - the most popular sellers. So, anyway, I clicked on the DVD category and the FIRST LISTING that came up was from a new person (zero feedback) selling a box of Star Trek DVD's in packaging that was NEVER legitimately released by the studios. Followed by his or her listings for a bunch of other DVD's that were most likely counterfeit as well.
Also, the main category says they have 150,000+ listings - but there are far fewer actually listed - so the 150,000 figure must be worldwide.
The bottom line is, this looks to me like a half-a**sed attempt to compete with eBay that has NO CHANCE of ever coming close.
