Default Is it worth setting up my own website for this?

Is it worth it in terms of sales I mean? It's not going to be worth it for one or two sales, or if I have to spend a fortune and 6 months solid of my life doing SEO.

I have steady supply of various items that I can package into targeted websites or a website with all the items, but at basically the same price I sell on other sites. I know when you're starting out new you have to be very targeted. But for any of the items, if you google them there's dozens of sites that will be ahead of me selling the same thing.

Does anybody, who has a website of their own maybe, know how sales convert when you're going it alone? Obviously you couldn't expect anything like the traffic you get on the other sites we sell on, but even if it's just moderate then it would be worth it to at least be some more independent of the giant sites that eat you up and spit you out.

Initially you'll have to work hard to get sales coming in from your website, but in the long run as you build up SEO and expand PPC campaigns, you'll do well.

For me with my first selling site, from day one of going live I had sales because of adwords. As long as your profit can take it, you're making money. In the long run though SEO is the way you want to go.

Even if I couldn't package the site into anything specific? This would just be a few eclectic items that wouldn't fall into the same category. Would it still make sense to bring a website?
