Default Is it worth it ?

So...i've been thinking about this for a while ,do you guys make something worthwhile from selling ?

I've always wondered is it worth it to work hard for a good stealth legit account and then sell ,if its going to lead to something worthwile and steady .This in contrast to the hit and run scams ,i'm not gonna give details here but i've wondered about this ,and you don't have to be a genius to know you can have a darkside of things if you master the stealth tecqniques.

What do you guys think ?

this is not a forum for hit and run scammers, it is to help with problems with suspension, holds, limitations etc, but they still sellers who try and give good service..............

personally I do not think that ebay is the way to make a fortune, unless you have connections or already are working in the industry of the catagory you sell in.

I personally see it as better and easier than any part-time job I could get but not better than a full-time job, but thats because I could get a well paid full time job - but Im not interested in working full-time, regardless of the money...I want to live my life before it ends...

Is it worth getting a legit account, yes definately, but would I rely on it - no, I have several master accounts, but also many others as back up

I was not thinking about a fortune, but a steady stream of income, for example in my country i could easily live with a months pay ,minimum income 300 dollars a month,it was a full time job in retail, very hard and stressfull .For me atleast it seems like godsend selling on ebay ,300 dollars seems like a very small ammount for big european nations, and the US.I was wondering if you can actually get this ammount of ebay from a month's sales.

Yes very easily

All you have to do is sell 300 items with a profit margin of $1 per item.

Or 100 items with a profit margin of $3 per item.

The great thing about Ebay/PP is you can keep your overheads so low.....

Thats good to hear,i'm keeping my prices very small, maybe like a 4 dollar profit margin ,just to cover those ebay fees and to grow some customer muscle. What amazes me is that competition isn't that important on ebay. For example, right before i list an item,i check what the other guys charge, one seels it for 29.99 ,another one with much more feedback and more sales sells the exact same thing for 50 bucks, and still sold 5 items from the start of the listing.

This is true.. There are lots of factors to consider with regards to getting good sales on Ebay and price is only one part of the equation.

Just make sure you calculate your net profit (after fees and other costs) to be sure your aren't making a loss.

For me it is worth it. I have 5 kids - 4 still at home. And I am able to be home with them when they come home from school and go to their school activities. The alternative - work myself to death and never see my family.

I try for $300 a week. That covers my bills and gives me a few $$ for a rainy day.

Before I found this, I had a spreadsheet that did the calculations. I want my profit on part of my product line to be $5 each. Plug it in and away we go!

Wish I could take claim for discovering it on my own. I found it on here somewhere. But, some things need to be unearthed at times.

$300-$1200 easy with right products AND good customer service.....

agreed - only fools and horses work...

I am in the same situation as NGE, I will be there for the family, I have friends that have to arrange afterschool childcare or nurseries (or kiddie farms, as I call them) and feel guilty, they are stressed and they age quicker, the ones that work full-time earn more than me but remember the tax and care costs ...they dont have time for gym, lunch out, day-time TV! and shopping, like moi!!!

Yep, cuddle time and playing nascar with my 4 & 5 year old is much more rewarding than climbing the corporate ladder.

I make what it would cost me in daycare and gas in a week. And the money goes towards my bills - rather than someone else's. And I get to raise my kids how I want. I only have them home for 18 years and it goes by too fast!
