Does anyone know about Verified by Visa?

I opened a stealth ioffer account. I have an eBay and PayPal account under the same name.

My credit card is a debit card linked to the stealth address, but in my real name.

I added the card on ioffer, and it says that they added the card but that my financial institution does not participate in the Verified by Visa program and opened a window telling me to go to a website to set up a code for this.

I know that with normal credit card verification, they only verify the digits of the address and the ZIP code.

My question is, does "Verified by Visa" give them any additional information?

Verified by Visa does not give the site or any other merchant party additional information.

It`s only for Visa to confirm that it is you that is in possession of the card information.

I have another thing to say about this, I registered on ioffer and it took me to the verified by visa page before I could list, it came to my bank site which is in Turkey, I just hit cancel, cuz i never set up verified by visa and didnt want to go through the hassle after I hit cancel, it just allowed me to list the item anyways...something to think about for others...
