Bans? Anyone try it?

I'm thinking about delving into the world of websites and affiliates...I have no idea what I'm doing yet.

I came across BANS, Build a niche Store. Is this a good place to start?

aspkin 01-10-2008 12:19 PM

Build A Niche store is pretty easy to get going. If you visit their site and click on Member's forum, you can see it's very active and there is a lot of success doing it.

It's very popular especially on the affiliate forums. I'm going to try it out on a couple sites of mine pretty soon, I'll let you know how it goes.

go join blackhatworld.com and digitalpoint.com forums. and read everything there, then and only then you will know a tiny little bit of information about all this marketing and such. im just starting out too, but aspkin has been pimpin this stuff for a long time. from what i know niche stores are really good for this sort of thing.

Chris Hanson 01-19-2008 03:23 PM

Yeah I'm also building a niche store with out Bans using a regular website builder. But bans is very good too. I just wanted my store customized a little different from BANS. I have a good niche too. Lots of content should bring me lots of traffic which = loads of cash..lol

here is a little trick using Bans, the trick is to get the customer to click on Ebay ads so you will set a cookie on their CPU.. Anytime they buy within 30 days you get the credit!

Hmmm.. What if multiple people do that? Does one cookie overwrite the other or do they all get credit?

Chris Hanson 01-19-2008 03:49 PM

I would think the one cookie overrides, but thats a good question. i'll ask that in my other forum

ivegotinfo 01-20-2008 09:50 AM

thats why you cookie stuff every visitor with all your affiliate links lol

:p

???^^^ Mind your own business..Nothing funny about messing with another person bread and butter. Now how about somebody turn your accounts in for selling counterfeits?? You'll be mad in here complaining saying "I wish they would mind their own". Take your own advice...

And yes u sell counterfeits.. I have your emails stating you do too. And if you want me to, i will post your PM's in the forum for everyone to see

HATAS You two need to stop sipping that hatarade

I've been doing a lot of research about it...feel like my poor feeble brain is about to explode! hehe!

I'm definitely going to try it.

Update, anyone using BANS?

Just curious if anyone has started using the BANs software and if so what results they have had with it.

Also if you are using something that you feel is better, please do let me know.

I would like to go in this direction but would like input from some of the more experienced people on this forum before I put too much into it. Thanks

Chris Hanson 02-08-2008 01:49 PM

Well I have 1 bans website. i also made another website similiar to bans but without Bans software..

If you promote it right u can make alot of money off a good niche!

Triflin 02-08-2008 02:08 PM

Thanks for your input Chris.

I am really leaning towards doing this. I may try it. The software is inexpensive enough. It beats the heck out of listing on eBay and getting the boot and losing all those potential customers.

aspkin 02-08-2008 02:29 PM

If you don't like it, you can just get a refund. If you do decide to check it out, follow my banner link so I get credit for it. Thanks!

Also I can help you set it up and get you started if you need help. :)

twdell 02-24-2008 02:42 PM

i am thinking about this also. where is your banner link so you can get the credit?

LOL, now that's what I call a hungry affiliate :D

I have had good success with BANS incorporating it into my site. Soon covered the costs of it, and making a nice bit of side profit with it as well.

twdell 02-24-2008 03:24 PM

i was just reading some old posts about sites like BANS, and aspkin said that using their service is a waste of money. he said you won't get ranked very high on a search engine, because everyone who uses BANS has the same looking webpage. he also said the ebay affiliate websites don't bring much money. sorry if i sound clueless, but when it comes to web design i am. i have never even thought about it before, and certainly have never tried it. i don't know the first thing, but most things i have learned were self-taught too.

aspkin 02-24-2008 09:41 PM

Ah yes, I may have said that months ago. But after more research and finding out lots of people are having success with it, I recommend it now.

twdell 02-24-2008 10:46 PM

i would assume that you have to find a pretty good niche that not a lot of people are doing, right?

koalawash 02-24-2008 10:59 PM

That would be my guess.
