| Deal buyer | 03-04-2012 02:56 PM | Ebid.net growing rapidly What do you guys think of Ebid.net
Ive been following it recently, and the size is growing rapidly, on a daily basis, ( can see the amount of auctions listed)
Seems a good up and coming place |
| seanws30 | 03-04-2012 03:20 PM | never heard of it. checking it out now tho |
| Deal buyer | 03-04-2012 03:29 PM | Theuk one has grown like in 1 million active auctions at one time in the past few months, it's now at 4 million so it shows the scale of growth |
| seanws30 | 03-04-2012 03:35 PM | read some bad reviews on the web already. and at first glance, having a hard time finding a current auction with any bids. |
| Thankful | 03-04-2012 03:37 PM | you know it's been trying to compete with ebay for years, i've had an account there for 3 years now, i won't put it down completly because i have sold items there, but the traffic is horrible, i honestly thinks theres more sellers than buyers on it.
A give way sign that its pretty much dead is the lifetime offer which is on the home page, offering a sort off package for life, who would offer a package for life? they know their growth won't improve dramatically, and the offer it's self seems to be cheaper than it was 3 years ago aswell? should it not be more? says alot. |
| jamcocktail21 | 03-04-2012 04:19 PM | I can't find a current auction with any bids.
80% sellers 20$ buyers |
| Ebayorbust | 03-04-2012 05:04 PM | To give you an idea how bad ebid UK is, I have an eBay account that sells an average of 20 items per day. The exact same listings on ebid have generated a grand total of 1 sale in that last two months. |
| Deal buyer | 03-04-2012 05:40 PM | Pahahahahaaaaaaa lmao.
Ebid is a fail, Its probably one of ebays founders hating school goer who founded it.
Copycating friends....... |
| unkown5454 | 03-04-2012 08:37 PM | Search this forum. There are nothing but complaints against this shotty a*s website... |
| Gamefreak | 03-04-2012 09:56 PM | their site is hard to find that is a huge problem. the .NET isnt helping either.. |
| jeffweico | 03-04-2012 11:09 PM | Traffic is the problem with all of these websites. The fact is, eBay and Amazon have the traffic. Other sites do not, at least not at this time. End of story. |
| imjustme | 03-05-2012 11:53 AM | Of course none of these websites have the traffic that eBay or Amazon does, but combined they can still be a good source of income. If you list only on eBay and sell 20 per month, or list on eBay, Bonanza, Etsy, Ebid, Ubid, Artfire, iOffer, Blujay, etc. and make 40 sales per month, that's a difference. |
| Deal buyer | 03-05-2012 01:13 PM | which one is the best alternative then,
what do you think about adflyer, its numebr 2 in rankings to ebay, gotto be decent then hasnt it.
it seems like theyre making all the right decisions |
| joeyr69 | 03-05-2012 01:41 PM | I can guarantee that those people on there are p*ssed of ebay customers! |
| Imakemoney | 03-05-2012 02:04 PM | ive tried eBid, traffic too low, sales EXTREMELY slow |
| nobody999 | 03-05-2012 02:24 PM | i dont' think it matters if traffic is slow or not, what matters is selling in other venues in addition to ebay/amazon. you should be able to see increase in TOTAL sales if you would sell also on different sites. no need to bag on the slower, less traffic sites. if you just make 1 sale on it, your making money. |
| justarslan | 03-09-2012 12:30 AM | this site is waste of time. |
I've only had 1 sale total in 2 years. I've searched for every item I sell and only found 1 total of 15. I don't think I will keep ebid in my rotation. |
| prosto_prelest | 03-14-2012 03:47 AM | well i have been with them for a few months now and although the sales aren't as high as on ebay they still are pretty nice. i hope they'll get more traffic in the near future |
| blacklisted_by_ebay | 03-23-2012 03:09 AM | eBid's traffic is so low, and the sales so bad, it will take a couple years at least for me to make back my Seller+ lifetime fee of $50.
But as someone else said, don't depend on just one site. Work with several and you can get a decent total income. |

| blacklisted_by_ebay | 03-24-2012 04:31 AM | LOL yeah something like that.
The kicker is I really like the site. The functionality is great and the customer support real nice and quick.
The sellers on the forums there are really nice too. But then, looking at it another way, when you have a community of sellers who have the time to chit chat with each other daily, and know each other so well, surely there is a problem! | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:33 PM. | |
