Default ecommerce or your own?

Hi all,

newbie here.

Selling on eBay and Amazon at the moment but want to do better in Amazon but some category in Amazon needs approving and I been told a transactional website is mandatory, which means I have to bring forward my plans of my own site.

I have a domain bought and hosted, simple landing page is in use that is all with logo and message "site under construction".

I want to ask, whats better in the long run? Use ekm or bluepark packages? or get someone to make your own? I have had a quote of £300. I keep reading bad and good reviews on both ekm and bluepark but I guess that goes with everything you type in google.
What if I use one of them now and decides one day that I want to get someone to make my own site? What sort of chaos will this cause me and my manyyyyy customers(hopefully lol)? Is it just a copy and paste job of the codes or its bad??

To be very honest I do not thinkI will get any sales in my own site even when its up but I just need something to show Amazon to get approved in a few categories.

oh if it helps, i sell clothing, fashion jewellery, phone accessories and toys.

Thanks in advance in any help.

Kind Regards

I would say that you need something like opencart and a good themeforest.com theme and youll be up and running like a pro quite soon, if you need help you can pm or check opencart forum , maybe there are Some other techies here to.
Good luck
