Hey! I’ve never been banned from Etsy and trying to stay that way. Basically I’m wondering if I can get my friends and family to buy a ton of my stuff to help kickstart my new products. I know this is suspension worthy on amazon but idk with Etsy. If they track for rank manipulation what exactly are they tracking? If my 10 friends all buy from new accounts at the same time is that enough? Is it more about the payment methods and IPs? Idk if they care at all. Any information would be much appreciated!

several factors can influence your ranking-
some pay for their listings show up on first page,there is this ODR business based on buyer feedback,how fast you respond to inquiry,order,shipping etc.
I get more orders from Etsy than EBay.
There is no manipulation,either you pay to get more visibility which does not always translate into sales or you have what buyers want at their price,you respond fast and ship first,if INR,you make your customer happy by refunding.
Etsy stealth/rank manipulation???
