Default 7-figure seller, have been seemingly doomed from the start!

Hey everyone. New member so pardon my learning curve.
I’ve sold around $8 million in the last 3.5 years of selling online.

I run e-commerce stores on Shopify and have used every payment processor imaginable.

Had a store that relied on PayPal and did around 1.1 million on it before a totally random account closure (1 dispute, 1780 transactions - $290 average ticket)

So that sucked! Went to stripe and they worked for around 2 million until I had a bad month and got 57 chargebacks (my fault, high risk orders I didn’t want to refund because the tickets were so good and I thought “eh, no big deal” ) unfortunately that month I only had 100 sales even so I got a major boot and placed on TMF / MATCH.

Since then, it’s been hell! Have had stealth accounts that work, then don’t, opened a new business in a new name and info, made about $800K before some sort of association to the other business came up... But yeah, here I am today.

Living the dream by most standards, but eternally struggling with the insanity that is online payment processing.

YES. My businesses are real, legitimate businesses. YES, a lot of it is MY fault and I’ve learned my lesson. I am 23 years old. Bahaha, been there. Done that.

Also, **** PayPal. ☺️

I'm in a similar situation. I also do 7 figures, with Amazon being a big chunk of it.

Shopify let me sell for a few weeks then suspended me from payments, and I can't get a merchant processor to approve me. Its like I am working for nothing since I never get paid. Amazon still owes me money from a suspended account in January.

My business has about 40 employees, and suspensions have been catastrophic.

All those payment processors think you pose a danger to their business.
You'd have to change your products or find high risk merchants.

Amazon, Shopify, the banks behind merchant accounts and payment processors all love the money you bring them, but they are sceptical of high-risk products/business.
Try finding a high-risk merchant. Loads of them available.

It would be best to build your own Wordpress site then get 1 or 2 SEO staffs. You'd get far more business than amazon can offer you.

With those figures, I can guarantee you will never quit finding a work around.

When you've had a taste of that level of business you will always find a way.

Do you think Woocommerce would be the right choice? I still have to go through a payment processor though with them right? I sell video game accessories that we manufacture so we are considered high risk.

Thanks I'll check those out, had no idea there were brokers for it. I applied for a few and I think one sounds promising as their site said they deal with high risk merchants, of course I probably will have the rolling reserve but its better than risking things with PayPal which I'm doing now.

It seems that every time you start doing well with no problems you get shut down or limited, the only thing I have noticed with eBay is that if your product is non vero and you are a top rated seller paying them $2k plus a month they will cut you some slack on a violation.

Actually there is truth to this lol I have one TRS account that does about $2k in monthly fees and they remove feedback/defects so easily.

Woocoomerce is a WordPress plugin so WordPress is the word you're looking for preferably with Woocoomerce plugins or Genisis Framework.
You'd need to have your own Webhosting account and domain name and you'd sure need and SEO staff or two.

Lastly, you can net a good merchant account especially if you're happy to agree to a rolling reserve.

Good luck.

all these payment processors and merchant account providers tap into a data base, they can see your past performance ,how many chargebacks, whom you have been signed up with.
so can the broker.
