Hi there Dan and welcome to the forums:)

Listen to SilentHill and nivo, they know their stuff and are correct. Just because you change your ethernet adapter or even the router mac does not guarantee a new ip. Try stuff out and use IPBurger.com to check the results.

That being said, a VM is still not a bad idea, especially if it's on your main computer. No need really to make more than one though I don't think. Just make as many user accounts as needed. It's kinda nice to have access to your host computer account, while still being able to use stealth user accounts in the VM.

Thanks for your reply.

I've read about this, sounds good.
If I have no wifi connection on my iPhone,
and I am using 3G cellular connection,
could I use the Tethering service anyway?

Yes, you can tether via USB. That's how I do it :) Welcome to the forums

I figured you were getting at the whole IP thing but did ask for MAC.

If you run a Virtual Machine, just because you have a mac, that DOES NOT get you a new IP. It gets your host computer a new MAC. Your router is the one that needs a different MAC as your ISP is who provides the IP. When the router/modem changes, then your ISP often gives you a new MAC.

Make sure to log your IP every time you get on. If you don't you can easily link account. One account goes down (if it is not linked to a already banned account) then they all go down.

I see what you mean. I think I'll configure a static IP address for each VM macihne and use ipburger to ensure everything works according to plan.

Thanks for confirming. I will definitely keep that in mind.
