| Tommer | 08-05-2017 12:17 PM | dedicated VPN vs fresh VPN Question about Dedicated VPN
I'm about to buy VPN from IPBURGER though I don't get the difference between the two purchase options, is fresh VPN just more safe? though I assume IPBURGER does check the dedicated VPNs for eBay suspensions before selling..?
also, it's a bit weird IPBURGER don't give any information about this topic whatsoever |

Fresh IP means you'll be receiving a dedicated IP that has never been used by anyone before. |

Yes, but is it ok to use dedicated IP with eBay Stealth accounts? or is it a risk |

One is for the perfectionist and with lots of money.

Fresh IP guarantees no one has used the IP for eBay/Paypal before you, so it provides you with with extra peace in mind.
Dedicated IP simply means no one else will be using this IP when your subscription is active. As far as you know, another subscriber might've already gotten this IP before you, and has been running 3 limited accounts right before your subscription started. |
Re: dedicated VPN vs fresh VPN I disagree...
Fresh MIGHT guarantee if you get banned right away they will give you another VPN connection as replacement. But just because someone says something does not guarantee it is true. It would be impossible to prove that the ip has never been used before by anyone ever. Even the company they get their so called fresh ip's from could be lying to them. There is no way to know. I would imagine it could mean that they know they haven't given it to someone using EB/PP/AMZ before.
If there were a supply of never used before ipv4's why is there ipv6?
IP alone should not link accounts. I say shouldn't because I'm guessing the possibility of linking by ip alone is a little greater with datacenter ip's. Maybe 0.001%.
I've crossed residential ip's on accounts by accident with out linking. I know this doesn't set anything in stone but it can give an idea of how things work. |

Fresh IP means you'll be receiving a dedicated IP that has never been used by anyone before. | That's pretty close. :pop2: |

No such thing as a "fresh" IPv4 address, period. The last block of IPv4 addresses were issued in February 2011. Hence the slow and cumbersome transition to IPv6 and rising popularity of IPv6-IPv4/IPv4-IPv6 tunnel protocols in recent years.
nate is 100% correct. While the chances of getting an unabused IP are lower when buying a "fresh" IP VPN, a VPN company's claim of an IP being "fresh and unused" is purely speculation. :nerd: |
| yankee | 08-10-2017 11:09 AM | Re: dedicated VPN vs fresh VPN Where the IPs come from is most important. I was buying IP blocks from Verizon a few years ago. It is expensive, a pain in the ass to configure, the routers are expensive and the IPs are consecutive.
I then learned that I could buy "extra" IPs from an giant corporation for really low prices and they would sell "lots" of smaller broken IPs so 10 or so would be consecutive. Still a total PITA and not worth it for strictly stealth ebay/amazon purposes.
My point is source if IP is important but nobody can be 100% accurate to claim the IP has never been used before. They can just say that it is exceedingly unlikely it has been used for anything in the general public. |
Re: dedicated VPN vs fresh VPN Copy & pasted from 24vc's website Guaranteed Fresh IP Address – Explained
"Guaranteed Fresh IP Address is a new product add-on that is now available to be added on to our dedicated ip plans, by simply checking the box to opt-in during the checkout process. By doing so we guarantee you that the dedicated ip address that you will be issued is a fresh ip address which means that it is an ip address that we have never issued to any other customers."
It's pretty simple. When you rent a full or partial cabinet you can add IPV4's for somewhere around 50 cents a piece. Usually these ip's come in blocks with consecutive numbers. I'd imagine this could cause problems so somehow they must get around that issue. Other wise EB/PP/AMZ could ban the whole block.
What ever ip's they have it sounds like they recirculate them if you get a regular dedicated ip so someone who has just been banned or stopped using there service had the ip before they give it to you. I imagine they let the ip's cool off for a while. They probably have enough to do so. If you get a fresh ip, its one they've never given to someone before.
Either way, in theory it shouldn't matter, IP alone should not get you banned.
IP's circulate all the time. It's the nature of the beast. Just the way it is. Who knows how many people are sharing the same 255 AT&T cellular ip's I'm using. I'd bet all the money I've got that at least one of those people sharing my ip's uses EB/PP. |
