Mobile tethering IP addresses cycling through the same 3/4 per session
 

I use my iPhone as a personal hotspot across the 3/4 eBay stealth accounts I operate.

I'm on vodafone and list all IPs in excel.

However, it seems I get 3/4 unique IP addresses and then end up cycling through them until later in the day.

i.e.

Log down IP address for account A.

10 minutes later

Airplane mode on to generate new IP for account B.

10 minutes later.

Airplane mode on to generate new IP for account C.

Airplane mode on but get given an IP i just used on either account A B or C.

Then I constantly change between those 3 IPs regardless if airplane mode is on for 10 seconds or 10 minutes, this includes restarting the phone also.

This usually isn't an issue as I only need 3 IPs each day however if I hit into an IP used in the past I can be stuck for a while and return later in the day.

Is this common?

Most phone hotspots Assign IP by Device, so say a tablet etc.

Personally I like to make a new user name (on windows) and do an account THEN when its time for another use my tablet etc. Also if you have a mobile hotspot, you can always buy a new one.

VPN's are stale, they KNOW about them!!!

VPN's themselves are not the problem. Many members here use them without any issues.
The problem is abused/overly used VPN services, such as the free ones. Yes, both PP & EB would know about them and have those problem IP ranges in their blacklists.

Best advise is not to be cheap and pay for a good VPN, do your research there are some that work fine.
