I guess it all depends on how your going to use it, but no one could truly answer that question. It always comes down to taking a leap of faith. I would say the odds are definitely in your favor.
What I would worry about with Digital Ocean, is the security of your set up. If your not good at securing your server you could run into problems. Digital Ocean is the most well known cheap server provider out there.
It is normal to have your ports scanned for a intrusion point once ever minute or less by a would be hacker on a server that's not well known, most likely by slave machines.
With Digital Ocean I would guess its 10x that. Every wantabe hacker in the word probably knows Digital Oceans IP's are easy access because of the kind of people that get droplets. |
