Kill switch for firefox portable
 

is there such a thing as a kill switch for firefox portable? I have tried blocking the connection using firewall setting but it wouldn't work. Is there a setting or a program that can help with this?

I am using portable firefox with 24vc, normally when I use 24vc with regular firefox, I am able to set a kill switch using windows firewall inbound / outbound setting, this prevents IP leak, so any connection not coming in through the vpn would be blocked off and my browser wouldnt connect unless the connection comes through the vpn BUT with portable firefox the windows firewall kill switch method doesn't work, the portable firefox accepts all connection (connections coming in with or without the vpn), so I want to find a way to set a kill switch so the only connection portable firefox would use is the one coming in through the vpn.

You can set up a Kill Switch through Netsh commands... Altho I havent tried to figure it out yet because the way your doing it has always worked for me... (I use VMware not Portable Browsers).

In Linux with iptables rules it would look like this:

iptables -P INPUT DROP
iptables -P FORWARD DROP
iptables -P OUTPUT DROP
iptables -A INPUT -i lo -j ACCEPT
iptables -A INPUT -s 55.55.55.55 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A INPUT -i tun0 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A INPUT -j DROP
iptables -A OUTPUT -o lo -j ACCEPT
iptables -A OUTPUT -d 55.55.55.55 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A OUTPUT -o tun0 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A OUTPUT -j DROP

Where 55.55.55.55 = your VPN servers public IP address

You should be able to run and kill the Windows Netsh VPN Killswitch rules using a .bat file once you figure out how to structure the Netsh commands. (the rules will be the same as Linux just structured differently).

If I have time one of these days I'll figure it out and make a batch file to use.
