ChromeBook Chrome OS OpenVPN GUI Not Working Connect Button Grayed Out
I spent all day yesterday solving this issue that the new update of the Stable version of Chrome OS created. Hopefully this will get enough clicks that others will find this through Google results when they run into this issue.
Issue: Where you try to set up a OpenVPN connection in Chrome OS after you add the Server Host name (server IP or DNS name for the VPN connection), Username and Password and import the OpenVPN config file the connect button is permanently grayed out in the GUI.
Solution: input chrome://flags/#disable-network-settings-config into browser and disable the option.
Disable Settings based Network Configuration
Disables the Settings based network configuration UI and restores the Views based configuration dialog. – Chrome OS
#disable-network-settings-config
That should, or at least now, fix the issue.
It will bring the GUI back to the previous version.
