Default VM, VPN, and Mac Address Questions

Hello all, hopefully this is in the right thread.

Jut purchased Amazon Ghost. I have a few questions. I've read where amazon mac tracking is a myth.

I just want to clarify that Amazon cannot track any mac address, right? Not your computer mac or router mac? If that is correct, can I skip over the changing mac info in the guide if I'm going to use a VM and VPN?

Which leads me to my next question. I did some searching on the forums about using vm's and VPN's, however, I havent really found a true tutorial on how to set up a VPN for a virtual machine. Should it be installed on the VM? Could some one please point me in the right direction?

Also, it seems that the consensus is that running windows on vm's is popular. Why is this? How do you get windows key? Do you all buy window keys or get them for free somewhere? Does it truly matter what OS you use?

Sorry if this is all obvious information. I've had a forum account for a while but never really took the leap to stealth. Thanks for all your help.

I manage multiple amazons successfully using portable Firefox, WebRTC disabled, Flash disabled, and cheap proxies. I use one VPN that allows me to access 30+ portable browsers at the same time, no linking.

only time I have problems is when I amass 6k in sales during a 2 week cycle on a new account

to answer your question about VMs, most people get pirated copies of windows, or use the install disk that many computers come with

on a VM, you can set up a VPN so your IP can be whatever you want. it works just like running a VPN on your regular, non virtual machine

Congratulations in starting your journey in the Stealth World

Regarding MAC, what many people don't know or forget, your MAC Address will never leave your local network. They are used to communicate with your local switch (which is mostly at home the same as your Internet router). MAC addresses are used for communication between neighbouring devices on the SAME network and are not transmitted over Internet. Meaning even your Internet Service Provider will not be able to tell you the MAC of your laptop connected to your private switch. But when you are not in a private network (for example Free Hotspot), it could make sense to change your mac address.

Running Windows on VM: I would say that it's popular because it's the easiest way to do. You can get easy or very cheap copies on Windows and the installation is pretty simple, while installing Mac on a VM would not be something for Noobs. And the same for Linux.

Setup a VPN on a VPN is just like setting up the VPN on your normal machine. a VM (Virtual Machine) is nothing more than a machine running on top of an other machine (just like you would have access to a Remote machine). VPN Setup could differ depending on your VPN provider. There are some good VPN providers on the forum.

With a VM, do you still need multiple IP’s for each account? Wouldn’t you be accessing all your 30+ accounts with the same IP if you had 30 mobile windows open? I’m having an issue getting bunch of clean IPs everyday via MiFi... Help would be appreciated.

a VM ia just like your normal computer, except that you start it after you launched your physical machine. So the same way you your physical machine, you are going to use the VM.
Saying that, if you have 30 accounts on 1 VM, it's possible to manage by many ways. You might have multiple users on the OS, each one with its own VPN or Proxy setup OR you might multiple portable browsers, each connecting to a different IP (not at the same time).
However, it might be very confusing to do so.

Default Re: VM, VPN, and Mac Address Questions

>> You already got your answer for MAC address from @MasterNaster

>> You can either setup VPN on your real machine (PC/Mac) or only on your VM.
  • If you want to keep the stealth stuff separate from your real machine, I suggest you setup VPN on the VM only.
  • If you're using the stealth stuff interchangeably it's best to setup VPN on the real machine. This way your VM would think the VPN is your original network.

>> Setting up VPN on a VM is the same as setting it up on your real machine (assuming it's Windows)

>> To install windows on your VM just google for your preferred Windows version ISO and download the official/original one. You can crack it easily later. I suggest you to avoid installing the pre-cracked one.
