IP Address change via cable moden using wireless router
 

Is changing my IP address using a cable modem connected via the ethernet port to a router possible? I've searched and couldn't find anything. This is the toughest thing for me to figure out and do. :tears:

Also, what linksys router would be the easiest to manage and change IP?

Sorry if this makes it more complicated to change IP but I just refuse to stay in the same spot with a cord plugged into my laptop.
