Well what about paypal? Can they also see if you're masking your ip or not either with a free or paid VPNs?

If you need to mask or spoof your location, a good VPN is the way to go

But if its simply for IP scenarios, there are much simpler and safer ways. Changing mac address on router is the best way. You can do it in a few seconds and control it

Rating hotspot shield on a scale of 1-10 would mean that hotspot shield works in masking your ip well for paypal and/or Ebay. However, delight me through your knowledge if hotspot shield works in masking your ip from paypal and/or Ebay in the first place. Thanks. Your knowledge is precious for passing on:D

I cant rate it at all. Never used it so I have nothing to base my opinion one. But anything that hides you is bad. They can tell you are hiding so in their eyes: "why are you hiding?"... So they just turf you

Well. Do you you need to hide? That is if you have a US paypal/ebay account. I mean if you have a Canadian paypal and Ebay then it shouldn't be a problem. What I'm getting from your comment is everything that hides your ip is bad so don't bother to do it if you either have your ip blacklisted or you have to sell in US ebay and don't live in US. Two words basically to sum it up to those ppl: YOU'RE SCREWED. Is that what you're trying to get here? You're sort of being contradictory by giving a "supposedly" good VPN that's paid. However you just said that anything that hides your IP is bad so no matter how good it is, no matter if it's so good that you need to use money to pay for it, it'll just get you screwed over 10 times. so yeah..now you just confused me ten folds :S

You are sort of mixing my notes. There are two situations:

If you dont need to hide, dont. Period
If you need to hide location or want to spoof location then a good VPN is the way to go

Sites that "hide your IP" are almost always just simple proxies that dont really hide anything. It will display an IP but many sites can see around that to real IP

Many many people look at these things as an easy way out of changing IP. Or they cant wrap their head around how to. It can be confusing at first and frustrating. So they read VPNs or proxy and think that's much easier

Most folks that run private networks and private proxies here dont need help with IPs and know what, how or why they do what the do. The "dont hide" is for the folks that are just doing it as a means to an end

That's why you keep track of it. Also, most Cable modems nowadays assign IP by the MAC of the device/gateway it is connected to.

Dial up might be fine, but you'll never know if the VPN gives a brand new dedicated IP or not

I am from the US but live in Costa Rica for a good part of the year, what is the best IP solution that I could use for setting up multiple eBay accounts?
