Newbie here-Roadrunner & IP question
 

Hi all, Long time Amazon seller but suspended about 3 weeks ago.I have read Amazon Ghost and lurked here on the forum learning all I can.

I think I am ready to start putting things into action. I have a few questions before I make the plunge.

Biggest concern so far is my ISP and Ip address. I have Roadrunner ( southwest roadrunner if that matters). I cannot get the IP address to change by turning it off etc.

I have kids that use it for gaming so I would like to keep RR if possible.

Am I clear that if I just buy a new router that that will give me a new IP address with Roadrunner

I have bought a new computer for the mac address issue.

I will buy a vcc from someone here.

Last problem- name on the new account. Can I use one of children's names and social or will Amazon know they are a child under 18?

As long as your IP address is Dynamic it will change. Follow these steps here and you should have no problems changing it...

And yes, a new router will change you IP address with cable internet.

The forum DOES NOT Condone using your children's Social Security number for obvious reasons.

OK, so I guess I need to call RR and ask if I am static before I buy the router.
But after reading Amazon Ghost, I read that the best way to get a new account was in a family members name. So that was my plan. I know the book said to get the bank account in my real name which I am. So what am I doing wrong? What is the obvious reason? Confused.
