need some advice here, for the sake of different IPs I have been visiting the state library which is not far 20 minutes walk from my place. ( I cannot reset my router all the time i am living in a shared accommodation with a few other housemates )

after a few times i got bored with it sometimes when the weather is bad i just dont want to go out.

GTB said that a dongle would do so does it basically mean that if I get a mobile broadband, for example 3 mobile which they are charging around $15 for 1.5 GB data monthly contracted for 1-2 years, i would have different IPs every time I log in? do i need to confirm with the 3 mobile store that it will have different IPs every time I log in? or may i know which type of dongle changes immediately after reset and which type only changes after a few hours as mentioned by Imback2010? thank you very much

^ Yes you should use a dongle. They will be dynamic. You can ask for peace of mind though. IP will change each time it reconnects.

always check though,you could get one you previously used on a different user account

my way of storing ips is by putting them in my phone under the windows user account name e.g ip4johndoe
then when checking an ip address,i type the ip in to my mobile and if its been used before it will come up with the name of which account it has been used on,i find this easier than having a chart

maybe its flawed but its working for me,only been doing this for a few months and yes you could run out of storage space but i have an android phone and it is sync`d to my email addresses so i could just start storing in there and if that fails i have a memory card,so its a good way i think

Sorry, but I have a newbie question. I changed my IP by altering the MAC. Then I went to ebay thinking it would not recognize me, but my existing account poped right up. I thought it would ask me to log in. What did I do wrong?

Sounds Like you didn't create a new Windows user account.
