I have heard that eBay, and especially PP, do NOT like VPN, be careful. I can see why a financial institution like Paypal would HATE someone trying to hide their IP or being "anonymous".

Think about this in a logical manner - You are processing payments for millions of people every day, all of a sudden an alarm bell goes off - "hang on gang - we've got someone using a VPN - they are trying to hide who they are and where they are logging in from"

Would you say:

A "Oh that's nothing to worry about I'm sure it's fine"
B "Hmmm - looks suspicious but may be nothing - just keep an eye on it"
C " This aint right - someone is up to something - nuke the bar stewards!"

Which would you do if your job was to protect Ebay/Paypal from scam artists at all costs?

It isn't rocket science is it? And if you think hidemyass etc have better software than PP and EB you really are in cloud cuckoo land

I am based in europe, so there are better options than a VPN to use with paypal? I guess getting dial-in from here is not possible? Also a bit retro..

Seriously, a dedicated vpn for $9 a month should be ok? Or would you think Paypal can see that it is a VPN. NoodleVPN is much smaller than say HideMyAss I would think

Hey guys thanks a lot. I wish I could have a limited dynamic IP but with U-verse, no chance. I have a VPN but that's not good for multiple accts I'm understanding. I'll be lookin in to dial up now.

I understand what GrannyT said about the "VPN Alarm". But, seriously, we band of brothers who live in Europe, South America what other options do we have?

this is the question that troubles me:
what is better?

1) use my dynamic Brazilian IP to login into foreign stealth accounts
2) use VPN to have a IP that matches the address of the stealth accounts.

I believe your expertise and opinion on this matter will be very valuable for all of us who live outside US/UK/CA

1. Would probably give you instant problems
2. Hit or miss, it could be instant suspension/limitation depending on who you use or it could last for a while, but you would probably be on borrowed time.

Some on here recommend private servers with dedicated IPs as a good solution.
