This has been frustrating the hell out of me for a while now and finally the frustration is over. I live in an att household and there internet uses Static IP addresses, and it makes a chore out of creating new eBay accounts. So finally I realized the potential of my windows 6.5 cell phone, it lets me tether wirelessly, so it basically acts as a router and the ip changes everytime I turn it off..
Could there be any faults with this?

Dont know much about tethering, but from reading on here this has been a last resort for many people next to dial up, and has been a success.
I don't know about that "last resort" thing but for me, it's the only and main resort. Now that I switched over to a new and better cell phone company, my IP address' have increased 10 fold and I save $10/month in the process too.
I'm in the process of buying a smaller 14 inch laptop so that I can take my "stuff" on the go. I have a tough little 12 inch HP elitebook but that laptop is 4 years old and getting smaller every year. So phone tethering is my only source of IP address. It only depends on your situation.
I guess the bigger the company is the more IP address they have. I would love to try out the new iphone 4S with SIRI with Amazon. I heard they are apps to change the Mac address really easily so I can use on Amazon.

Wow I just sent 10 minutes reading some reviews on that Sprint Mifi thing and the biggest complain is it gets really hot and tends to slow down after that.
My sister's Clear Myspot box thing does the same thing, gets so hot when really using it. I am only looking for a internet device with as many IP address as possible.
