Changing IP

Im trying to change my ip and im on talk talk i have logged in but dont know what section to go on and what to change can someone help me please

Do you have a dynamic IP? im not sure if talktalk ofer a dynamic service - if in doubt give them a call and find out.

If not theirs always the option of one of the following providers as all 3 will give you a dynamic IP each time you restart:
- BT
- Sky
- Dongle

plusnet is v. good.

Talk talk has Static IP. Probably not going to be able to change it.

what would be the best way to change my ip then?

Im on o2 and it also gives me a fixed ip... But there is a way to change it by changing the mac address... I don't know if that works on talk talk, but it's worth a try

Other than that, think about getting a new provider

imakemoney...for the love of god please tell me how to explain to sky that im on a static and how i can change it?

Cant change the mac address on these preset routers.

Sky is not static. It has what is called a sticky dynamic IP. Takes ages to change.

In your other thread I gave you two threads that explain quite a lot to get you going

The thing is GreenBean there is nothing in those threads :-( and buying a dongle will cost me a fortune if I keep having to top up with credit etc.
