Ip was changing fine until 2 weeks ago...

I have a internet provider which advertised as a changeable IP address and for about 5 months I could get a new IP after about 2 days. Since I keep a log
of the IP between all of my accounts I noticed that it stopped changing. I usually would turn the router off and then plug the ethernet cord directly into my computer for a new IP, it would not change daily but about every 2nd day which was ok with me, now it won't change at all. I should add that I have apple airport.
Is it possible that suddenly the ip is not dynamic anymore?
Sorry guys I don't know much about that and I am frustrated, wasting a lot of gas between Starbucks and McDonalds and others....

change your routers mac address from the admin web page - there is an indepth post on here about it.
This will reset your ip

I reset it all as far as the router goes, took a while for it to come back but there is no option in changing the IP, does having a Mac computer affect anything ?
I am really confused.
