Three is probably the best for your needs. I'm sure some others in the UK will chime in on their preference. JamesNorth might know.

I'm not sure how it is in the UK...

Consider not getting unlimited data. You don't need that much data for this.

2GB would be more than enough if your just stealthing, besides which unlimited is never really unlimited in the UK.

Maybe I need a best deal on a dongle instead of looking for a data tethering deal on my phone it might be a better option

I think a Dongle would be best. From what I have read...T-Mobile is a good choice but I could be wrong.

I have used GiffGaff for over 3 years now. You dont need a mobile internet dongle to tether with. Most modern smart phones have a built in data modem and you can then either connect phone to your laptop / PC / tablet via a USB cable or set up your phone as a wifi hotspot and connect to your phone via wifi.

I think the trick with GiffGaff is not to go overboard with data. I use GiffGaff mobile internet just for surfing the internet and doing ebay stuff. I avoid downloading music / films and watching hours of youtube stuff. I've heard of people getting their GiffGaff data suspended for using over 20Gb per month which is taking the piss a bit, although they do offer so-called 'unlimited' data for £12 per month 'Goodybag'.

My own data usage per month is around 5-7 Gb which would cost a fortune on some of the other mobile networks - remember while some like Virgin etc claim to offer 'unlimited' or 'all you can eat' data, they then have a FUP (Fair Usage Policy) that restricts subscribers to a paltry 1Gb per month. Its pathetic really. The more 'smart' phones get and with this 4G faster mobile data coming out people are going to use more and more data than ever before, yet networks seem to be restricting the amount of data people can use.

Gone with 3 network its a better deal than giffgaff as they kept suspending my account for tethering on my mobile
unlimited data on Giffgaff odes not include tethering
and wanted to sell me an extra data sim card which only gives u 7gb not what I wanted
Three give me unlimited tethering and 2000 mins for £18 a month no contract
seems a bargain if u can get a signal u are laughing

Did a quick edit. Think that makes more sense now.
