How do you Login to US PP from overseas?

I have many US PP and Ebay accounts that I have to access from outside the US, since I don't live there. I keep reading that one should use a US IP in order to not get flagged and limited by Paypal.

But I still can't find a way to do that, if someone can let me know where can I obtain that type of service would be great.

For now, I have no other way to login from a foreign IP. So far, never had a problem but now I am a bit worried.

I have my own ideas on the subject. A friend that lived many years in the US came back to live in southamerica, and he tried to access his EB account from here. He got into problems and EB asked for his ID. After that, no problem at all. But I think the IP was not the problem, it was the cookies because he was using a brand new computer that was never used to login to his EB account.

Also, here I see tourists from the US login to Ebay from Starbucks. And that IP is shared with hundreds or thousands of customers!

If you login to US EB/PP accounts from abroad, please share your experiences.

I bought them, they are 2 years old and working fine so far.

I did a search on Google for VPS...can anyone recommend me a good provider? :-)

No one will recommend a good service on an open forum.

Best advise is to go at least 15 pages deep into google

Have to do a bit of the leg work yourself on this one.

Step by step guide for you

Go go google.com

Type in VPS and then the country you want it for

Go 15 pages deep

Open different web pages

Decide which the best one for you is.

Thanks, that really helped! I now have 2 options. The only thing I don't understand is why I need a hostname. I don't want to run a website, I only need the VPS to login to EB/PP.

A VPS can be a bit extreme. What you really need is a Dedicated Proxy that is in the country. For example, if you need a canadian paypal, you'll need a canadian IP. Even a VPS might have a shared proxy, although it's doubtful that others are using it for ebay/paypal. IMO it's a very bad idea to let the IP out of your control for any reason.
VPN's are a bad, bad idea, from my own personal experience.

If your account has been operating for 2 years if I were u I wouldn't change a thing on them accounts 2 years is a nice time for an active account , if anything u probably would raise flags by switching to a US IP.

So for those accounts that u been operating dont change anything

For new accounts take James north advice

I am bit insane but I access my UK accounts via dial-up - might change that up soon but I havent looked at VPS option

That's exactly what I do with my US accounts! Never had a problem. Also, I see american tourists at Starbucks login to their Ebay accs with no problems. How can Ebay/PP ban you for your IP? We live in a globalized world!

If they do, that means you can't go to Starbucks and login to Ebay without been suspended! That's insane.
