Just need a modem. Rsot uses Dial Up a lot so may be able to give you more exact details
As far as I know you just dial out via the phone line using your computer inbuilt modem and your good to go.

Nothing really changes, Just need to dial-in and keep track of those IP changes.

Right on JamesNorth101.
@fuggles, you need an ACTIVE landline (dialtone provided by your local phone company) and modem for your computer - given that, you would need an access dial-in number and away you go.
For access to long distance access numbers (out of your country/region), you should look at a long distance plan otherwise it can get quite pricey - like a long distance call

Dial up is awesome, IMO. You don't need a really fast connection for ebay anyway, and it's super quick and easy to change the IP. Plus, dial up is SUPER cheap.

Funny thing....The place I live in now...has no Telephone connections! lol. I couldn't even do dialup if I wanted too!
The major advantage of a Dongle is I can take it with me anywhere with my laptop and Stealth from outside my home.

Yep, why not? Dial-up gives you a Fresh IP with each connect.. it might be TERRIBLY slow but if it's your only option, it works.

The problem you may run into is that you have to keep the dongle alive every month otherwise you may get cutoff.
If you only sell once a year you could just do it by tethering to your computer or some other cheaper method.

And they only cost about 2 pound each.
The dongle is infinite, I would assume. VODAFONE PAYG REGULAR SIZE MOBILE BROADBAND DATA SIM WITH £5 /250MB FREE CREDIT | eBay |
