ip address change :Time Warner Issues:Other Options

So I know that it is MANDATORY that you reset your IP address before going ahead and going stealth.I'll explain the question as best i can.

1)I create a new user account on my PC

2)I go ahead and reset my ip address so there is no connection between me and past accounts with limitations and suspensions.

3) create ebay account

(At this point i would have 2 user accounts on my pc, My original - which has the defected ebay account. And, my new user account, which is for my new ebay account).

Now, i want to have a third ebay account lets say to grow slowly.

- I make another user on my pc (Now i have 3 total)
-Renew the IP address again ( so it is not linked to any previous ones at all)
- create ebay account

Here is the question...

If i want to go ahead and login to that 2nd account i made ( 1st stealth account ), Do i have to reset my ip address again? Would i have to reset my ip address everytime i log in to different accounts.

I ask this because would it not raise a flagthat i have different address EVERYTIME i log on?

GreenBean 08-14-2013 04:11 AM

What????????????????

Why are you using the same IP from a suspended account?

Why?

:faint:

Rambo3 08-14-2013 04:57 AM

No, re read it lol!

I am not using the same IP ADDRESS FOR ANY ACCOUNTS!

I want to know basically if from changing from account to account, if i have to reset the ip address everytime?

GreenBean 08-14-2013 05:03 AM

Yes, you do.

Otherwise you link.

Dangers of reading posts via tapatalk....

That sucks.. so in this case everytime i want to log in to another account what ur telling me is i have to..

disonnet my modem
ipconfig/release
ipconfig/reset

whatever the steps are ect..

lol either way thanks!!

AuctionsDenied 08-14-2013 05:45 AM

Changing the IP every time you log into different accounts is fine.

The key is to make sure you keep track of the IP's so you do not cross them from account to account.

Not if it means you successfully run and operate stealth accounts.

Sucks never comes into that equation.

What sucks is getting linked and then suspended.

However, all is not so gloomy.

We can help you beat ebay with lots of tips.

Get organised with your files to contain all your info and to use to track IPs.

Here's two that were created by users here. Both are super for stealth purposes.

The 5 minutes that you may "sucks" to change your IP each time you switch stealth accounts is nothing. After doing it a few times, it will be part of your routine and you won't think about the time it takes. Just make sure you are jotting down your IPs whenever you change them.

Also, think how long it will take when to start from scratch all over again when your accounts get linked and/or suspended?

There are no shortcuts in stealth. Best of luck,

Imagine for ppl with multiple accounts...like 20+ ...they take the time to change the IP - very crucial to remaining linkfree.

If you need other IP addresses, look at dongles...cellphone tethering...dialup (last resort)

I have literally lost sleep ( which I'm sure most of us here do normally ) trying to change my ip address . Tried the methods on the guide and other. Don't know what to do anymore. I do have dynamic. Any suggestions.

MM78 08-14-2013 01:17 PM

Suggest you look into a USB Modem (Dongle).

An0nym0u$ 08-14-2013 01:39 PM

You mentioned your ISP provides you dynamic IP's. So, before exploring dongle options, can you elaborate on your current setup?

Do you have a modem provided by your ISP that connects to your wireless router? OR do you have a modem/router combo all in one?

Also what is the make/model of your devices?

Rambo3 08-14-2013 02:04 PM

I have a modem connected into a verizon wirless router. I use to use a wireless usb into the pc (because it is a desktop), but when i moved rooms and the computer is on the same desk as the router now, so i just plug it in with a ethernet.

So my set up is. Modem to verizon router, router wired to PC via Ethernet.

Time Warner is my provider

What exactly is ur set up with the phone and a dongle?

Rambo3 08-14-2013 02:09 PM

The reason i am already exploring Dongle options is because i read on the forums here that it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to change Time Warner cable IPS.

How would that set up work anyways.. I know i can tether from my mobile device ( I would use a usb cable) and people keep mentioning dongles. Where would the dongles come into play?

If the steps in that link doesn't work, you need to log into your wifi router and use the MAC address cloning feature (or if it allows you to, change the last digit of the MAC address).

The MAC address cloning feature will put the MAC address of the computer's NIC on the WAN port of your router. Then power cycle the modem.

I have time warner with a verizon router...

What are my dongle options.

use a dongle, pay as you go.

Buy this

Three Mobile Huawei E3231 Dongle Ready To Go 1GB: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

and for credit, get this, one a month will do

Three Mobile Broadband Ready to Go 3GB Preloaded Data: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

That's it.

Your IP is now changed. Costs about 25 pounds to do,
dongle and sims can be found cheaper if bought on ebay.

with each new "sim card pay as you go" is an extra 3 pound a month.
(vodafone sims on ebay are only 3 pounds for 250mb)

i personally use these, the cheapest I could find.

Vodafone PAYG mobile broadband data standard SIM 250MB FREE credit worth £5 | eBay

One a month, or whenever I sell, 250mb is enough to last me.

An0nym0u$ 08-14-2013 03:28 PM

@fuggles...Those are great options for a person based in UK. OP's flag is US though.

Furious George 08-14-2013 03:37 PM

I've head time warner often has a static IP.

You have a ton of usb card options.

I prefer verizon wireless.

Rambo3 08-14-2013 03:52 PM

I checked on whatismyip.com and i am pretty sure i have dynamic just cause i saw the word a coupletimes and didnt see static not once
