not that im any expert at all because this is the only teathering i have ever done. i used pdanet and switched about 6 times or so because it times out being the free version and the ip was different every time.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
PDanet is a good service but is it worth it to get the paid version and avoid losing the IP (IP dropping) that happens with the free service? Just wondering...
just seemed the easiest way to get a new ip quick, by unplugging and plugging in the dongle. but its also a monthly service so that cuts into profits.
i still am not 100% certian if my ip is static or not. i have at&t uverse for internet provider
I too have att uverse and spoke to them this past weekend. They said it is dynamic. In order to have static it would cost 15 bucks a month. They also said that my ip changes every 90 days. Not sure if thats true but I am checking it out. So far no change.
do you use a smartphone? most allow you to tether and share your phone's internet access with your computer. i've been doing stealth for a half year now and just use my iphone on att to tether. very easy! but kind of limited range of ips, so i wouldn't recommend it for someone with a lot of stealth accounts. for me with 5 accounts it works just fine. it seems att ip range has changed once in the 6 months, maybe because they added a new tower in my area. i previously had a virgin u600 dongle but reception in my area was so bad it didnt even work properly. definitely make sure that you will be able to use it in your area, if you decide to go with a dongle
I have an IPHONE 5, ATTUVERSE is my internet provider and Verizon is my cel phone provider. My question is, can i use my verizon phone to tether on my attuverse internet connection and IF SO, how do I tether to begin with?
i don't understand, why pay for pdanet when you could just root/jailbreak and use hotspot? i dont' see how pdanet is any different from hotspotting?
i actually havent paid for it yet. been working 7 days a week and havent had time to f with it. still selling stuff through other ebay sellers for the moment. loosing profit that way but still rolling with no free time.
tell me about this rooting, i have heard someone at work talking about a rooted phone. if i can save the $12 and still get same ip switching well of course i will do that
