How to remedy recurring ip's?

I have been using my verizon mifi for a while now and am starting to continuously get recurring ip's. Is there anyway to fix this without switching providers? I have mifi's and it seems they both share from the same ip pool...

I have been getting the same problem recently. I just keep turning to airplane mode or shutting off then turning it back on. Sometimes I have to go through 3-5 off and on's before I get a fresh number.

Something else that I notice: if I log on to the user ID before turning the MIFI on, sometimes I get an IP that I already used for the same user ID. May be coincidence, but it seems to work.

I use ATT MIFI btw. Right now the MIFI is juggling about 300 IPs.

I believe verizon has a much larger ip range compared to ATT. I am in the 7,000's and the recurring ip's are just starting to become a nuisance now.

The best option is to change location where you are running the MIFI. It has to be a good distance away.

Can you explain why you are concerned with this? Means your IP is dyanmic & this is acceptable.

How many accounts are you running?

Not sure if you are using this file, hazy, but it is helpful

If each stealth account has its' user account & cookies, there is rarely an issue with IPs.

Well yes the ip's are dynamic and change but I have been getting recurring ip's that were being used on accounts that have been linked/suspended. I am running about 20 accounts all on different pc users/cookies.

All from the same ISP?

If so, maybe consider changing to a different one.

Well done for appreciating the risks of reusing old suspended IPs.

My accounts are split over different ISPs..... avoids linking

Re: How to remedy recurring ip's?

Well I am currently using Verizon (these are mobile mifi hot spots) which lasted a long time. ATT gave me recurring and T-mobile doesnt change its IP with a simple reset, I have to wait hours.

Can anyone suggest an alternative to Verizon?

Thanks!

You use this or you just parrotting replies?

What do you know of the IP range for Virgin?

Does Virgin allow mifi as the OP wants for EASE & SPEED?

Or did you miss that info?

If there is a chance of suggesting a ISP that has a lower range, then why do so?

Ah, I know why.......

Anything else besides Virgin?

I mostly use my verizon connection along with the dsl at my house but I'm curious if it becomes a huge deal with such a large ip pool. Clearly other users will have had these ips before so if a reasonable amount of time has passed does it matter? I make a habit of not using recurring ips but if I use up my pool I wonder about the significance

I would rather not venture into the unknown. I only use IP's unique to the account I am working with. Of course this is now presenting an issue due to the vast amount of recurring IP's. Just waiting on the big dogs to share how they do it. :pout:

I have been waiting for a reply from rsot

He claimed Virgin worked.

I don't think it does.

But at the least rsot might have followed up with any more info.
