Keeping track of ips
 

Little confused on how to keep track of ip to prevent linking accounts. Say I have a dynamic ip address and supposed to keep a log of all the connections. If I have 2 months worth of ips, does that mean if I connect today I'm meant to go through the whole list to make sure it hasn't been used for another stealth?

What happens when there's a years worth? It's quite likely to use an ip by a suspended user as the ip is pulled from a pool of ips.

What time frame is applied to checking ip? Or is it just to make sure it's not the same ip between accounts on a daily basis?

If you are doing stealth with multiple accounts, then checking the log should become second nature. I check every time I sign into an account.

Thanks GreenBean. Will check it out. I was using a dynamic ip with an account which recently got suspended. It never occurred to me that I was able to create another account with the same connection which means I never logged any of the ips. Can I still use it to create another account?

You can still create - chances of getting the same IP on a dynamic IP provider is low BUT you should keep track moving forward.

OK.

Here's what i suggest.

If you are thinking of having multiple stealth accounts, take a moment to consider another ISP.

That way you have taken steps to be quite a different you ;)

Check to see how often your IP changes throughout the week, some dynamic IPs will change every time the modem is on than off

While others like comcast will hold an IP for a few months, and may change if you power off your modem for two weeks

So find out hoe your ISP behaves, use ipburger.com to check your IP

If you use your computer all week and everyday u have the same IP than chances are you probably had that IP for a few weeks or months and may of only used 5 IPs all year

If your IP changes a couple times during the week than I'd suggest getting a new ISP provider and starting fresh
