How to change your IP in 10 seconds with Sky Broadband ( tutorial )
 

So many members are asking how to change their IP address so I thought I would share my way and this is the best method for stealth accounts, it is the fastest and easiest. No more getting up to reboot your router and waiting 10 minutes for it to reset, do it from your desktop in a few seconds.

You will need Sky Broadband for this to work but its worth changing to this for ease of use.

You will also need the Firefox browser and the add on 'anonymoX'

Addon anonymoX You must always keep this service off it is only to be used to check mini browser IP.

Never ever be tempted to use the IPs from here just instal the app but keep it unactivated.

I thought this might have gotten a better response :(

I tell you this is the way forward I know there are other ways I have sat here for hours thinking of other methods but the only other way is to use
a dongle for each account, so 10 accounts = 10 dongles. This would be my second best way and you would have to label each dongle, and have PAYG.

Phone tethering works great also!. just unplug and replug cable to your computer. thats how it works for me. fresh Ip everytime. 5 seconds

Also seems to work with BT. If you log on to your router theres an option saying 'disconnect from internet'. If you disconnect then reconnect a few seconds later you get a new IP. Or at least it did the three times I tested it.

I have never been a fan of BT Sky is for me, I have always used them and never a problem.

Prefer Virgin Media to be honest but I live in a semi rural location. BT had the highest speeds available.

Just got the new Sky router and it does not work this way you have to reboot it and that takes 2 mins + so I got the old one out again.

Do you have to pay a tethering plan for iphones on AT&T? If so, how much?

can you not simply turn your router on and off with sky and it gives you a new IP?

you are using your phones data. No additional plan.

I use IP Burger on all 15 of my accounts.

I had this router but now have the newer version. It's even faster!!!

I just turn off the router for 15 sec, back on, new ip. Or admin login and router restart, either one will work. Its very simple.

With switching from account to account 10 seconds is better than 90 seconds what the router takes it all adds up and yes I have timed it numerous times.

It can take up to 2 minutes to reset itself by that time I have sorted 3 more accounts out.

quick question.

how about the host name like

cpc76652-xxxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxcustxxx9.12-4.cable.virginm.net

because it doesnt seem to change when restarting the router.

if the website can track it, im sure amazon can track that as well?

im using virgin media btw.

You can do this with the new sky hub router, follow the steps above but instead of clicking "sky test" which is no longer an option click connection status disconnect and then connect.. new IP address everytime... saves a good 2 - 3 minutes of resetting your router!!

This is a great idea. I am gutted as I only moved from sky broadband to plusnet.
I do not operate multiple accounts as I easily get confused :) lol
What I do is order a new router from pluset for £40.00 - This gives me a new mac addressor router and IP address is changed too.
I know you can just turn the thing on and off, but I worry about mac address of router. I now they don't read Mac addresses of computers.

I have got the new router and your right it has not got the "sky test" so I have been rebooting instead I had no choice but to use the new
one as it is the broadband is much faster, but I will try your method later :clap:

How safe is it.do i have to do any extra steps to use the phone Tethering.

I believe you are in UK as well. Can you tell me where to get the dongles or wifi small portable routers? I spoke with EE and wanted to get their hotspot wifi but the guy said you will not get new IPs so is it good to get the dongles or wifi hotspots or dual sim card phones via hotspot?? We are moving to sky fibre broadband (sky q hub). Does this work with the disconnect status method as outlined above?

I am on Sky broadband in the Uk but I can't seem to find my router admin panel or sky broadband page with a Maintenance option?
I have downloaded anonymox but can't seem to be able to test if it is working.

I would appreciate some help.
I really need to set up a new ebay account as soon as possible so need to get my head around this.

What do you use nowadays ? I assume VPN/VPS is not the best option than what as I intend to run multiple stealths without making eBay or paypal uncomfortable by loging into stealths with new IP every time.
