Default IP Question

OK I've selected a new 'User Account' and now I have to set up my IP for that account. I have no problem changing my IP address but I can't retain it or re-apply it when I enter that user account. I've tried everything but its probably because I can't control the router's LAN MAC address. I can select a new MAC address but can't reselect it.

Take a look at this image of my router settings...

Perhaps someone could help me.

Better to say what ISP you are using & if you have dynamic or Static IP.

I live in Austria and the ISP is A1. As I can change my IP, I would presume it is dynamic.

Is it enough to change my IP when jumping between ebay/PP accounts or must I retain the IP I used when I first signed up on these accounts?

No you don't retain the IP address you had when you first set up the accounts, on a dynamic router you will get different IP address most times you login, you always have to make a note of the ones used though just in case the same one does come up again, the MAC address does'nt matter cannot be read

Dynamic is fine.

MAC address is not read by ebay.

Make sure you log your IPs. This file should be a big help...

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/multipl...-stealths.html

Do a test to double check the IP does change:

Turn on the computer.

run Track Your IP Address - IPBurger.com ( created by aspkin.)

Log info.

turn off the machine and switch back on.

Log info again.

If the digits have changed , yes, you have dynamic.

Good Luck

Ps..... please change your flag to the correct country.

Flag should match the IP

IOW, I change the IP every time I use an account and log it. I do the same with other accounts and just have to make sure that I never use an identical IP for different accounts.

Is this correct?
