Default Keeping same IP address

I've heard from my isp that each time my router connects to the Internet I will be given a new IP address

Now I won't be able to keep my IP address when switching between accounts. Saving my MAC address and inputting that and resetting the router would it change the IP address to what I want ?

I have talktalk. The IP addresses always changes when you reboot router. They are totally dynamic not semi-dynamic.

Looks like a Static IP from here, is also sounds like one.

Have a look to see if you can change the routers MAC code in the interface

Will go check my IP address soon

My computer is connected to my router supplied by isp.
The modem is internal inside the computer

Do I just switch off the router for 1 min the switch back on to change IP address ?

What about the modem as I can't switch that off?

Thanks

VM works really well

Ideally you want the super hub and a sticky dynamic IP

It may well not be possible on all routers.

Have a look in the settings of the router and see if you can find the option. Usually it would be under advanced settings

It only shows MAC address and you can't edit it

Is there no other way to change IP address like change router ?

Changing isp or using dongle is there a chance that a old used IP address which I may have used or anyone else on the Internet may come up?

Well you have tried changing the MAC. Doesnt work

You have tried turning it off and on. Doenst work

Unless you can set it to modem mode and attach a router you can change the MAC address on then your out of options

There will always be a chance that you reuse an IP. So long as everything else is different it wont matter too much as a one off

If you are really that worries just use a VPN
