When I was a fortunate player(pure luck, zero skill) I only bought and sold physical. Not nearly enough gain for me compared to business unless used as a savings. Now in a portfolio, should be an awesome hedge for inflation although proven to be weaker than expected because of government(s) manipulation.

Awesome opportunities for short term portfolio investors/day traders.

Rode the wave earlier this week for some quick scalping. Was basically guaranteed money.

For physical I own mostly Silver. I use to buy lots of Maple Leafs and American Eagles but the Premiums per coin have got so nuts now I only buy a couple 100oz bars once or twice a year. I lump Gold and Silver together. My motto is I OWN GOLD FOR MY GOLDEN YEARS!

Personally, I don't like ETFs it seems like any asset class I buy an ETF for it always get crushed. I have the last few years learning lots about commodities and the Mining Industry including base metals (Copper & Zinc, etc) as well as Uranium.

A few weeks ago the HUI golden index for the mining shares hit an all time low. So I decided to dump several thousands into a few of my favorite mining stocks.

There are huge differences between the largest players like Barrick, Goldcorp, Newmont and the smaller big miners and the straight up Junior Miners. Also the exploration companies are a whole different story. If Gold does hit $1500-$1800 again some of these mid-tier companies could go up 4-5 fold. The Juniors even more but those are hard to pick and the exploration companies are like rolling a deice and they can take years upon years for any action with regards to their discoveries.

In the US I have talked to some convenience store owners who have done well picking through the older silver coins that hard lifers bring into buy booze and what not.

So Gold in terms of USD had its best month Feb 2015 in nearly 4 years. Is the beginning of a bull market?? I am starting to get GIDDY!!!!!!!
