2018 Portable Browser Or Managing Multiple Accounts
 

Hey guys,

Im running Mac Sierra

Tired of using multiple user login accounts & want to manage my eBay accounts all from my main user

I understand firefox portable is used for windows


Does any one have suggestions for MacBooks.

Also would prefer to avoid Vmware ect as it requires booting a virtual computer.. i don't have much ram

I wouldn't suggest that. Someone just lost a few accounts in another thread, I was advising them why they lost all their accounts. Its likely down to using portable browsers.

Such a pain in the ass.

Ill take a look at the virtual machines.

1. Do I have to run windows on virtual machine, or can it run mac system
2. Whats hot in the VM world these days, used to be fusion ect..
3. Whats the best way to run VM's, from external hard drive?
4. Any ways to lower memory/ram used
5. What version of windows/osx?

New user accounts on a Macbook would do the trick.

You don't need to run Windows on your Mac just so you can have new user accounts.

FYI - If you want to run windows on your Mac, go the Bootcamp route, rather than using one of those softwares that allow you to run Windows within Mac, as that can overheat/slow down your system.

Yes, been doing multiple users for awhile

How about booting virtual machine with OS X & portable browser from SSD external drive?

External drive is a good option, if your low on storage capacity.

Bootcamp is a better alternative, no need for carrying a hard drive around.

Yes I was looking at your posts, but was deterred from Portable browser per "play". Also im on a mac. firefox portable is for windows.

Portable browsers are fine. Its maybe not as idiot proof as different accounts though.

One tip, is move the portable folder after you close the browser, if something is still running it will tell you...

Sure there's that........or you can create a kill switch that makes sure the firefox.exe is fully closed.

Multilogin everyone was skeptical about it awhile back, anyone have some experience with it?
