The only problem with setting up an account using a shared connection, an internet connection that many others use as well is that the IP is more than likely already on the suspended list.

Using a previously suspended ip doesn't guarantee a suspension or limitation, but it sure increases the chances. If you are going to do that just make sure you clear your cookies and make everything about the account different. Use NOTHING from the suspended account.

One advantage for using Auctiva is if you use dial up to create multiple accounts but you wish to use broadband for listing to save time. You would do this because it takes for ever to list with dial up.

theoretically speaking IP addresses are simply recycled amongst users. ISP's have a range of IP's that they allow their users and although there's tons of them that they recycle amongst their users, it's inevitable that you will eventually get an IP that once belonged to someone else. Therefore all you need to do is make sure your cookies and private data is deleted out of your browser so ebay is sure its not an old suspended user.
