Activity: 0% Longevity: 87% | | needs new ways to get more ip
My broad band is Static IP.
Currently I am using a wireless USB modem to get more IPs for my different accounts, and this is killing me. I am pretty sure these wireless dialup alloate IP based on your lolcation, I am always geting those similar IP address. Like today, I tried for 1 hour connecting and disconnecting just find myself with two IP Address.
Phone line dialup doesn't seem to work well with me. They will charge 25 dollars permonth to get it and it is too slow.
What are the other ways to get more IPs. I am planning to buy another USB Wireless from a different Telecom company hoping they might allocate a different set of IPs for my areas.

The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

Why not ask your ISP for another plan that gives a dynamic IP?

The IP is assigned to the base unit and passed along to the receiver. You can reset the receiver all you like, and the IP will not change. You need to reset the base unit. If it is inaccessible to you, there's not much hope.

Do you have a smart phone? Like iPhone?
You can use that instead to connect to. That's what I do for a fast clean IP address.
Or just setup new accounts with a clean ip address and manage them through a 3rd party like auctiva.

On my G1 (T-Mobile), the third and forth sets of numbers change each time I reset the phone. I use this method a lot. I setup new accts with new IP, and manage with Auctiva (or other) as stated by Aspkin.
Example:
192.168.***.***
The Ip segments with *** change each time I reset the phone.

You only activate Auctiva when it is time to start selling on that account.

yeah but i think that's what he means by
"I setup new accts with new IP, and manage with Auctiva (or other) as stated by Aspkin."
what's the point of "managing" an account in auctiva if it's not for sale purpose?

re auctiva see my thread explaining it, it can still be used, you pay the $4.95 for a month when using it and if you are an irregular user you can switch it off so you are not billed until you are ready to use it again, watch the billing cycles though, you have to be exact..
another thing about multiple users, how do you guarantee on phone that your cookies and flash dont mix and link, do you keep flash off and clear cookies each use? is there any way to create a seperate user on it, like on a windows PC?
do you find the iphone slow, my blackberry is arse-numbingly slow..

oompaloompa,
You only use the internet connection. The flash objects & cookies are saved in the browser of the phone. No chance of them crossing over to the machine you are tethered to.
As an extra precaution, I always remove my cookies from the phone anyways. |

I have a few that are managed by a free service (AuctionZealot), but they don't have many features. Once an account is making enough money, I switch it over to Auctiva.
In my opinion; Auctiva is worth every penny. $10/month isn't much to pay, considering all the benefits. - Use Auctiva IPs
- Image Hosting
- Nice templates
- Free listing scheduler
- Integrated Checkout, so we can use our merchant accounts
The list goes on, but these are the ones that stick out to me. |

Although; i don't believe it's been confirmed if InkFrog shares the multiple accounts to eBay. To be safe, I would suggest keeping them separate. |

I just brought that eBay Stealth pack and browsed through the above. I just wanted to clarify if the following would work...
Say I brought a laptop to my uni library, connected to thier wireless internet. Set up a computer account (so cookies werent linked) and then set up an ebay account and got a friend to phone verify it. Also not forgetting to use differing emails...
Would this work?
Also could somebody advise me where auctiva would come into this please?
Many thanks

That *could* work. But I would really try to find a connection that is NOT public. You never know how many others have used the IP before. Could be linking yourself to a bad apple from a year ago.

is the iphone ip address generated specific to a certain region or state in the U.S. based on where you are traveling?
