my new stealth just got burned it was my fault...live n learn...can i use the same routing number but different accounts at the same bank for multiple accounts?

Yes. That is not a problem at all.
If they ban Routing numbers... they'll pretty much shut down an entire BRANCH.

Yeah, routing numbers are not the problem. You have a kink in the equation there.

Sorry for the 2-month bump, but its my understanding that routing numbers are applied by STATE not by branch.

Looks like the link does not work to me *coughs*
When I was employed in banking in the USA, i was taught that a routing number is picked and given to a branch (of a bank)
This link is works and that's the one we will go with

You are misunderstanding this. Many banks, especially larger ones, have more than one routing number. Chase has broken theirs down by state. But the list above is ONLY applicable to Chase. Those routing numbers are not shared with other banks.

Another bank could have them divided by region. This is decided by each bank.

The bottom line is, if you need your routing number, look on your check. If it is an eAccount, then ask the bank for the correct number.

It still seems they are not broken down by branch or there would be a lot more routing numbres.

there are a lot more routing numbers im in nyc and mine is 021000021 for chase
