Mini-Guide: How to Set up Virtual Machines for Stealth Accounts

In this thread you can find attached a step by step PDF mini guide I made, Showing how to set up a virtual machine for stealth accounts.
Maybe a significant number of this forum members are already using VM, and know how to set things up, but there are others using 'New User Account' for each stealth account they create, which is perfectly fine and does the job, but using the combination of Virtual Machine & VPN makes managing multiple accounts very easy, like having multiple tabs on your browser except each tab is a new computer. Which makes it possible to operate on more than one account on the same time without creating any links between them.

So, this thread is generally for those using 'User accounts' and never had the chance to try the Virtual Machine option.

I hope this may help someone :)

PS: I will be creating another Guide on how to set up your own VPN, Just need some spare time!

Thank you for the guide!

Which VM do you recommend for Windows 10?

Is there a good free version?

Re: Mini-Guide: How to Set up Virtual Machines for Stealth Accounts

I personally wouldn't bother using WIN10 - XP is by far enough to keep things simple :)

Re: Mini-Guide: How to Set up Virtual Machines for Stealth Accounts

I have used Virtual Box and it does appear to be pretty good.

Personally I think the spec of the PC is crucial.

Having many Stealth's across many Virtual Machines eats up resources very fast and the whole thing slows down considerably.

However my PC is ageing I know.

Can anyone recommend Specs for hosting many Virtual Machines please?

Specs are crucial, 100% agreed.

What specs you want depend completely upon how many VM's you want running simultaneously.

The main things your after would be
- High RAM (16GB+)
- SSD (Don't both with traditional HDD, too slow)
- Processors optimised for Virtualisation (I would go for Intel i7 5820k)

Those specs should let you run about 4 or 5 Win XP VM's simultaneously. Use that as a ball park figure depending on what your needs are. Account for the fact you may not upgrade again for a while, so you may want to opt in to a little higher specs.

Best way to go about it is come up with the specs (or have someone design specs for you) and get a system builder to cusom build a PC for you. It would work a tonne cheaper than if you went into a PC store to buy a branded/pre built device.

Hope that helps ;)

I've always used VMWare for my virtual machines. I'll definitely give VirtualBox a try now.

Never used a Virtual Machine myself but thinking of giving it a go.
Out of curiosity - is it possible to have multiple user accounts on a Virtual machine? again - just curious.

Othmane 09-12-2016 05:14 PM

Re: Mini-Guide: How to Set up Virtual Machines for Stealth Accounts

Yes, you can definitely have multiple user accounts, just like in Windows installed on a real computer. You just need to allocate enough disk space when creating the virtual machine.

My hardware is OK, i have 16GB DDR4 RAM, 500GB SSD and I5-6500 CPU. :d

Just tried VirtualBox and installed W10 x86!

Works great and fast! I took 3GB Ram and 30GB HDD for the VM.

Very fast install!

Thank you for the Tutorial!

Edit: I had to go in Bios and enable Intel Virtual Machine Technology or something like that. Otherwise there was an error!

Are you sure that the VPS has CentOS and not another Linux distribution?

CentOS is one of many other linux distributions.
You can ask your vps provider to install CentOS for you, or maybe you can do some research on Google to See how you can install Softether on your Linux distribution.

So i can just add it to my vm? Or i would add it on to the vps? I will search about it but which would i put it on. Thank you for helping with advice i appreciate it

Re: Mini-Guide: How to Set up Virtual Machines for Stealth Accounts

If you are talking about setting up the VPS to work as a VPN, vm has nothing to do with this (only after successfully creating the VPN, you can then use it on the vm).

Now what you need to do is to find out the OS (operating system) installed on your vps, if it's not CentOS, you may ask your vps provider to install it you.
Otherwise, if you you can't install CentOS, you should search on Google (How to install softether on "your Linux distribution installed on vps") could be "Ubuntu", "Debian", .....

I hope that you get what I am trying to say :)

- Using VPS to directly access your accounts, requires a really fast internet connection. (to assure smooth internet browsing through the VPS).

- VPS that have OS (Windows or Linux) with Graphical user interface, requires much more resources (CPU, RAM & Disk Space) in order to function properly, which means you need to pay a decent monthly fee. while a VPN can work on the smallest VPS plan (Cheapest and with minimum requirements). But a local VM would be necessary to access accounts.

- Ordering a VPS and making it function like a VPN may cost less than paying directly for a VPN plan. (Be Careful about the IP address).

been a while since i replied to this. but finally found time to try to figure this out again. not being able to copy and paste in the desktop mode is a pain in the *** not to mention other aspects that hopefully will be easier now-soon will see.
so i finally found where the centos is hidding that can be on the vps:-) now i am doing that, then onto see if i can follow the 2nd guide.
thank you for answering my vps newbie questions and for the time you took making the guides-very thoughtful!

Re: Mini-Guide: How to Set up Virtual Machines for Stealth Accounts

how man amazon ghost accounts can I run on 1 single VM?? Also, which is the best version of windows I should use? Also d o I need to purchase an activation key to begin? Lastly, if i have 3 ghost accounts, how do I use just 1 VM? doesn't each account need a unique IP address?

I remember the day this thread started.... This is probably one on the most important threads in this forum, this and the other one OP made about SoftEther VPN server. I've come a long way since then.... I owe him many thanks....

You could run as many accounts as your hard drive will allow Virtual Machines.

I believe Windows 7 is the best. Just my opinion. There are ways around buying a key. Once your trial period runs out you'll get a black screen background but the OS will still work.

I used windows loader instead of buying a key. You have to make sure you get the correct version of Windows loader though. It's located on a forum. Cant remember which one though now. You could PM me if you cant find it.

You can only use one EB/PP or Amazon account per VM.

VM ware is pretty easy. I dont even mess with the settings. Pop in the Windows disc, asks for location install. Asks how many gigs you wanna dedicate to it. Usually 30gigs for me. Then it creates the system. You can name it what you want.

Ive had up to 20 accounts on one System. I just log off one and go to the next after changing my IP. Once Ive used them up, I usually create another system and slowly create more accounts on the new one.
Ive had about 4 systems running at the same time before it gets laggy.
Make sure to close all your browsers. I know, noob advice.

This is VERY NOT TRUE. Not sure what you are basing this off of. Cookies dont transfer over to a new user account.

Ive had multiple ebay paypal accounts on the same VM. Ive had 4 amazon accounts on the same one as well. User accounts keep cookies separate. If youre refering to fingerprinting, thats different but Ive found Ebay and Amazon arent searching for those.

Of course they don't. It's pretty common knowledge. If your using VMware its only for protection against browser finger printing and future proofing your accounts. It's a waist of time to use VMware just to end up separating EB&PP accounts by user accounts. It defeats the whole purpose... unless you're just using VMware because it sounds cool.

You said it best... This is VERY NOT TRUE. You might want to check again about that with Amazon... EB and PP will follow suite sooner or later.

Actually... I've already been getting notifications from canvas defender that EB & PP have been attempting to finger print. Now; if they actually use that information is another story.

Not sure about amazon seller accounts. I think I may have always had mine on separate systems. Buyer accounts though, never had issues just creating user accounts. Buyer accounts though, if you have any type of fingerrprint spoof, Amazon detects it and deletes the account without even sending an email
Hope someone finds a way around it without showing it as an add on in the browser.
